Trained as a public health physician, I have over 35 years of practical experience in a variety of health-related organizations and in different countries. Areas of expertise span public health interventions, health policy, and analysis of national and other programmes, with an emphasis on public health nutrition.Effective management at a senior level has been a responsibility for over a decade. Technical experience has included prevention and control activities to address public health nutrition deficiencies, interventions to improve child health, programmes to reduce undernutrition, and planning to prevent chronic disease (the last especially in transitional economies).
